Thomsonfly (formally Britannia Airways) is part of TUI AG, the largest tourism and travel services group in the world, which is based in Hanover, Germany. This also includes TUI UK which has brands including Thomson - the UK's largest tour operator and Thomson Travel Shops - the UKs biggest travel agency.
Thomsonfly is the largest charter airline in the world and has a fleet of 47 aircraft and carries over 8 million passengers each year from 20 UK airports to over 80 destinations in 37 countries. Their bases within the UK include Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Glasgow, Liverpool, London Gatwick, London Luton, London Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle, Doncaster-Sheffield and Teesside (Durham Tees Valley.)
Founded at Luton in 1962 as Euravia, becoming Britannia two years later, the airline has always been at the forefront of new services and innovations on board. Thomsonfly was awarded the Investors in People award in recognition of its commitment to training and development. The award has since been renewed twice and Thomsonfly remains the only major airline to hold it.
