Requirements

The right to live and work within the UK with no restrictions.
Holder of a valid European Union passport allowing unrestricted world-wide travel or a passport issued by one of the following accession states: - Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Cyprus, Malta.
Aged between 18 and 62 at time of application.
Experience of front line face to face customer contact in a busy and challenging environment.

Benefits

Full time basic starting salary £10,399.00 per annum.

Flying allowances variable and can vary each month depending on trip allocation. Typical new entrant cabin crew member can expect to earn in the region of £500 per month additional flying allowances.

Holiday entitlement is 28 days (including public holidays pro- rated in first year). As the flying operation is 365 days a year, Cabin Crew must be able to fly on public holidays and religious festivals.

Hotel accommodation whilst on flying duty.

Free Uniform, worn in accordance with uniform regulations.

Appearance
The ability to wear the company uniform is essential. Well cared for hands and nails are important.

Health
Excellent health and hearing. Good eyesight.

Education
You must have a minimum of 3 GCSE's grade C (or equivalent). These must include Math & English. Nursing, First Aid and a knowledge of a second language would be useful but not essential. Candidates must be confident in water and able to swim unaided.

Nationality
You must be in possession of a full, valid EU passport or ID with no restrictions on your employment in the base of application, nor travel to any Flybe destination. Any non-EU passport holders must be in possession of a valid work permit and or Visa which allow entry to all Flybe destinations.

Work experience
A minimum of 12 months face to face customer service experience is preferred, ideally in the sales and service industry.

Training
You must complete an intensive four week training course at our Training School in Exeter. The course will include aircraft safety exams, fire drill, lifesaving and First Aid, and you must achieve a pass mark of 80% or more in order to qualify as a member of Flybe cabin crew.

Residential requirements
Successful applicants must live within 60 minutes travelling distance from their base airport.

Residential requirements
You must be in possession of a full and valid driving licence with no restrictions as you may be required on occasion to drive a vehicle between bases.

The ability to accept the unpredictable is essential.

The Recruitment Day:
You need to arrive between 10.00am and 11.00am, and need to be prepared to stay with us for the whole day.

After submitting your application and all documentation, you will be required to successfully pass exercises and assessments to progress onto the next stage of our recruitment process:

Stage one
Knowledge Assessment
Group Exercise

Stage two
Presentation - preparation time will be given on the day for a 1 minute 30 second presentation
Problem solving exercise

Stage three
Individual interview

Basic Salary: £10,185

Our Cabin Crew fly from both Heathrow and Gatwick Airports

Role Purpose

The personality of Virgin Atlantic Airways is reflected in our Cabin Crew, who must always be friendly and approachable when accommodating the varying needs of our customers

Responsibilities

It is a responsible job, involving everything from the anticipation and understanding of each of our customer's needs, providing the highest standard of comfort and customer care, to the safety of our customers and aircraft.

The work is physically demanding and you will often work through the night, so you must be in excellent health. You must be prepared to work weekends, Bank Holidays and Christmas. Please bear in mind that these unsociable hours can often disrupt your social life. You must always remember that you are the face of the airline. Even after a long and tiring flight, you need to be friendly, helpful and immaculately groomed.

Please note: Our Cabin Crew fly from both Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

Requirements

Minimum of 18 years old

Minimum of 5'2" in height

Minimum of 3 GCSE level passes (or equivalent )

Fluent in both spoken and written English

Have the right to live and work in the UK indefinitely and without restriction

In good health

A confident swimmer (25 metres +)
