Qatar Airways is the national carrier of the Arabian Gulf State of Qatar. We have become one of the world’s fastest growing airlines since the airline was re-launched in 1997 under the leadership of our Chief Executive Officer Mr Akbar Al Baker.

We have made personal attention and service quality our trademark. As part of our service commitment, we are expanding our route network to give you a greater choice of destination.

At the end of 2003 we were flying to 49 destinations across Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, the Indian subcontinent and the Far East. By the end of 2005, we’ll be flying to at least 60 destinations.

We’re also offering you more flights per week to your favourite destinations in safe, new aircraft with the latest in-flight facilities.

In June 2003, we signed a US$5.1 billion agreement with Airbus for an additional 34 aircraft, which will allow us to fly with a fleet of 52 Airbus aircraft by the end of 2008. In 2004, we will take delivery of 12 new Airbus aircraft.

We have also signed a US$1.2 billion deal for two A380 ‘super jumbos’ which will become the flagships of our fleet when they are delivered in early 2009.

We are also making a significant investment in our hub in Doha to offer you fast connections to anywhere across our growing network and give you a superlative airport experience.

As our country grows from strength to strength, economically and as a tourist destination, Doha International Airport is increasingly becoming a valuable hub.  We are building a new state-of-the-art airport that will set the benchmark for all future airports. Phase one of the airport will open in 2008 at the cost of US$2.5 billion. The final phase will be complete in 2015.

Qatar Airways' purpose is to deliver Excellence in Everything We Do. For us, that means we focus on the customers who fly with us. Yes, we do offer highly competitive fares, but we also understand that our customers choose to fly with us because we care for them. We know that every time we fly, we carry the hopes and dreams of our customers. Similarly we consider the hopes and dreams of our people. As the fastest growing carrier in the Middle East, the opportunities for career diversity, development and training are almost limitless. We truly believe that life is a journey, not a destination; therefore we help our people to realise all that they can be.

When you consider the vast array of functions that must be fulfilled in order to take over 1.5 million customers each year, you realise that Qatar Airways is always looking for skilled professionals to join our team. The people who join Qatar Airways do so in the knowledge that they are part of a diverse team who will continue to build on our success for the future. Working for Qatar Airways is a demanding job. It can be both tough and rewarding. People work for Qatar Airways for different reasons, however everyone feels the passion and pride that manifests itself here. Is Qatar Airways the company for you?
