Positions
they recruit for
Area Assistant
You will assist and
support the Area Manager in both administrative and
on site duties. Administrative duties include
campsite accounts, marketing reports, Health and
Safety audits and travel organisation. On site
duties will include collection of Couriers from
local stations/training venues, taking Couriers
shopping, gathering local information, other Courier
duties as required.

Courier
The role of a courier is a varied one, however your
main responsibility is to ensure our customers have
a great holiday! You will welcome newly arrived
customers after preparing and cleaning their
accommodation to the correct standard. You are the
customers’ main point of contact so helping with
local area information, acting as interpreter and
generally helping customers is very important. Other
areas of responsibility are: making minor repairs to
accommodation and equipment; completing reports and
basic accounts; montage and demontage work at the
beginning and end of the season (see Montage//Demontage
section).
A friendly, helpful approach with the maturity and
initiative to deal with any situation is essential.
You will be providing a high level of service
handled with professionalism, all with a willing
attitude and of course a smile!

Children's Courier
Everything you do in
your role is to ensure that the children have a
fantastic holiday. You are responsible for their
safety and enjoyment in the daily programme of
activities on offer to children aged between 4 and
12. On larger sites in high season, you may be
responsible for a specific age range of children
(4-6, 7-9, 7-12 or 10-12). You may also be required
to assist in the set up of activities for toddlers
aged 1-4 in Mini Fun Station. You will organise your
own activity programme to keep the children
entertained for 5 hours a day, 6 days per week.
On certain sites a ‘Base’ Courier is required to
organise sport and other activities that will appeal
to teenagers aged 13+ as well as a number of
quality, fun events for the whole family both on and
off-site. You need to be self-motivated, and be able
to relate well to teenagers. Applications from those
who have sports coaching experience, have experience
of organising group activities and are ideally aged
20+ are encouraged. You need to be available from
June to September.
If you are working in a larger team, during quieter
periods you may be required to assist the Courier
team.

Children's Courier
Team Leader
On certain key sites
Holidaybreak require a Team Leader to supervise the
Children's Courier team. This will involve the
management, motivation and development of the
Children's Couriers to ensure that a varied range of
quality activities are provided within a fun, safe
environment. You will also perform all the duties of
the Children's Courier job description.

g Experience of
organising safe, age-appropriate activities for
children
g Experience of
sports coaching with a national coaching
qualification advantageous
g Previous
customer service and team leadership experience
g Excellent
leadership, communication and organisational
skills.

Senior Courier
Do you have the ability
to lead a team? You will be required to organise the
daily workload of a small team of Couriers,
Children's Couriers etc, working alongside them to
ensure that they deliver the very best customer
service at all times. You will also perform all the
duties of the Courier job description.

Mature Courier
Holidaybreak welcome
mature couples* and single applicants for the
Courier role and a large number return every summer.
Mature Couriers provide invaluable benefit to
customers as many of them have experience of camping
and travelling in Europe. Holidaybreak have a
dedicated service within their recruitment team for
Mature Couriers and give special emphasis to
ensuring their needs are met. As a Mature Courier
you can choose to live in a tent provided by the
company or in your own caravan or motorhome.
Pre-requisites for a Mature Courier are as per the
Courier position.
