Office Teams, Transfer Reps and KidsWORLD Reps across
the world of travel. With customer service excellence
thier top priority, they need energetic, enthusiastic
and fun people to turn their customers' holidays into a
dream experience.
Naturally, there's a lot to be said for working in the
wonderful sun abroad. It's brilliant fun, but it's also
hard work for 6 days a week. But if you've got the
stamina, flexibility and personality, you'll have the
time of your life. And so will your customers.
The
training is top drawer, you'll be part of a great team
(with fantastic support from the UK) and you'll be able
to combine two of your great passions in one job; travel
and people.

Positions

Overseas Representative
As an Overseas Representative you
will be the public face of the company always on hand to
help.
One minute you might be recommending
a nice quiet spot to sunbathe, the next you could be
dealing with a guest to solve their issue or complaint.
The sheer variety and unpredictability of the job will
call for some very special qualities.
So, whilst you won’t require specific
qualifications or experience, you do need bags of
personality, a knack for dealing with people and the
ability to stay calm under pressure and still keep
smiling.

KidsWorld Representative
Within KidsWORLD, you could
find yourself providing fun and stimulating activities
from Scrap Heap Challenge to mini Olympics, for children
aged between 5 to 12 years. Alternatively you could be
looking after the younger ones, from 6 months to 4 years
in the crèche or Paddlers club.

meet the following minimum requirements:

Experience of working with groups of children is essential

to join KidsWorld in the
Pre-schools you’ll need at least one of the following: CACHE, NNEB, SNNB,
SCCB, BTEC National Diploma
in Childhood studies, HNC in childcare, NVQ level 3 or an equivalent
childcare qualification
Entertainment
Representatives
From performing in West End style
productions and variety shows (created by some of the
UK’s top choreographers), to bringing TV game shows to
life, there is nothing like the buzz of being an
Entertainment Representative.
Working six days and nights per week,
you’ll need excellent people skills to host a variety of
daytime events, and a love of performing to entertain
guests in the evenings.
It’s a very demanding role, but the
feeling you get from making your guest’s holiday
memorable is incredible.

Office Staff
If you’d prefer a role behind the
scenes, then a job in the office may well be perfect for
you. In many ways, it’s like an office job back home but
with great weather!
There is lots of administration and
paperwork to handle, like answering phone calls and
queries from our UK departments, reservations, arranging
coach transfers and a wide range of admin duties.

Transfer Representative
As a
Transfer Representative you will be the first person the
holidaymakers see. It is your job to make sure
that all of the holidaymakers are transported safely
between the hotels and airport. As well as helping
out the resort representatives when they may need it and
guiding excursions.

What you can
expect working for Thomas Cook
Look at any new job and
one of the very first questions will always be: What's

g Fixed-term contracts
If you are successful at interview stage, you
will be offered a fixed term contract of employment.
This will be from your first day of the training course
until the end of the summer season, approximately mid
November.
g
Your salary
This will be paid on a
monthly basis into your chosen UK bank account one month
in arrears and will be subject to tax and National
Insurance. It is advisable to take funds out to resort
with you to last for the first 5 - 6 weeks. You will
also have the possibility to supplement your salary with
commission on sales in resort and this will be paid
weekly in resort in the local currency. KidsWORLD staff
can also make commission by selling merchandise.

Investing in your training
Full training will be
given and will be ongoing throughout the season. Thomas
Cook are very proud to hold the "Investors in People"
award.
g
Help with visas & permits
For all EU Nationals,
where applicable, the company will provide and pay for
these for you. You may need to apply in person though
and if this is the case they will advise you how.
g
Complimentary uniform
This will be all provided
for you, apart from footwear, prior to the start of the
season.
g
Peace of mind insurance
Once on the payroll you
will be covered by the company's own Thomas Cook
insurance policy. This will cover you for personal
belongings and emergency medical.
g
Your accommodation
This varies from resort
to resort; you could be living in a hotel, a studio or
an apartment sharing with others. Where possible they
will endeavour to give you your own room.
g
Hours of work
As and when! The hours
overseas will be long and normally unsociable hours. You
will get 1 day off a week.
g
Annual holiday
You will get the
equivalent of 24 days annual leave on a pro rata basis
whilst working overseas. This works out to 2 days per
month on top of your normal day off per week.
g
Winter work opportunities
If you have a successful
summer you could have the opportunity to work for Thomas
Cook over the winter too! It's all decided on
performance over the summer. You will have assessments
and appraisals throughout the season. Opportunities
exist in their winter programme including long haul
destinations, Neilson their Ski company, in a Thomas
Cook shop in the UK or even working for Thomas Cook Tour
Operations in the UK offices.
